In June, I spent ten days in Korea and attended the 41st National Christian University Professors Mission Conference. I introduced the mission of Wycliffe University & A.T.S. in East Africa, the realities of theological education and its mission vision, while discussing practical possibilities for educational cooperation with Christian professors in Korea.
In July, I returned to Uganda to serve another term at Wycliffe University. The dormitory prepared last year is helping students study in a more stable environment, and through lectures and school ministry we continued to equip pastors and theological students to study the Word more deeply.
With support gathered in Scotland and Korea, we purchased and distributed 200 NKJV English Bibles to local pastors. One Bible in a pastor’s hands can strengthen preaching, nourish a church and help establish the next generation in the Word.
지난 6월에는 열흘 동안 한국을 방문하여 제41회 전국대학교수선교대회에 참석했습니다. 이 자리에서 동아프리카 위클리프 대학교(Wycliffe University & A.T.S.)의 사명과 신학교육의 현실, 선교 비전을 소개하고 한국의 기독 교수님들과 실제적인 교육 협력과 동역의 가능성을 함께 의논했습니다.
7월에는 다시 우간다로 건너가 위클리프 대학의 한 학기를 섬겼습니다. 지난해 마련된 기숙사 덕분에 학생들이 더욱 안정된 환경에서 학업에 전념할 수 있게 되었고, 강의와 학교 사역을 통해 목회자와 신학생들이 말씀을 더 깊이 배우도록 도왔습니다.
특별히 스코틀랜드와 한국에서 모아 주신 후원으로 NKJV 영어성경 200권을 구입해 지역 목회자들에게 전달했습니다. 한 권의 성경은 한 목회자의 설교를 살리고 한 교회를 먹이며 다음 세대를 세우는 생명의 씨앗이 될 수 있습니다.
