About thirty students are taking part in the autumn term of our Korean Language Class. This term, we have been especially thankful for the Gathering, where we can meet students more personally, share life and build deeper relationships beyond the classroom.
Preparing Sunday worship and the Gathering each week is not easy, but the teachers and staff have served faithfully. During the autumn term we enjoyed calligraphy, making keyrings and fans, trying on hanbok and experiencing Korean traditions, making tteokbokki, K-pop karaoke and a taekwondo experience.
Among those who join us are people from many different backgrounds. Our prayer is that these friendships will grow beyond language and culture, and that those who come may one day encounter Jesus and come to know the Gospel.
이번 가을학기에도 약 30명의 학생들이 에딘버러 한국어 교실에서 한국어를 배우고 있습니다. 특별히 이번 학기에는 게더링을 통해 학생들을 수업 밖에서 더 깊이 만나고, 삶을 나누며 관계를 쌓아가고 있습니다.
매 주일 예배와 그 후의 게더링을 준비하는 일이 쉽지만은 않지만, 선생님들과 스태프들의 수고로 잘 이어지고 있습니다. 이번 가을에는 캘리그래피, 키링과 부채 만들기, 한복 입고 전통문화 체험하기, 떡볶이 만들기, K-pop 노래방, 태권도 체험 등 다양한 프로그램을 즐겁게 진행했습니다.
이 모임에는 서로 다른 문화와 종교적 배경을 가진 친구들도 함께하고 있습니다. 언어와 문화를 통해 시작된 만남이 더 깊은 우정으로 자라고, 마침내 예수님을 만나 복음을 알아가는 자리까지 이어지기를 기도합니다.
