In November 2024, Wycliffe University in East Africa held its third graduation ceremony. Eighty-three students from Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, Congo and Kenya completed their studies.
This graduation was more than an academic milestone. It was a sending moment. We pray that these graduates will return to their nations and communities as light and salt, serving the Church and building God’s Kingdom.
At the same time, preparations were under way to secure land for student accommodation, an urgent need for students who travel long distances and often have nowhere suitable to stay.

WHY THIS MATTERS
The Gospel takes shape in people, relationships and places.
Graduation is not the end of theological education but a form of sending. The value of a seminary is finally tested not by certificates, but by whether Scripture-shaped leaders return to churches and communities with courage, wisdom and servant hearts.
PRAY WITH US
Carry this story in prayer.
- Pray that every graduate will serve local churches faithfully and teach Scripture well.
- Pray that Wycliffe will continue to form leaders for places where theological resources are limited.
